October 30, 2009 Contact: 860-223-8412 WASHINGTON, DC - On Sunday, November 1, Congressman Chris Murphy (CT-5) will host two town hall meetings, in Avon and Meriden, to talk about the latest health care reform bill in the U.S. House of Representatives. Murphy will also host a telephone town hall from Washington, DC on health care reform on Wednesday, November 4 at 6:20pm. When Murphy held a series of public events in August on health care, he told his constituents that he would host more meetings after the House leadership unveiled the health care bill and before the vote. The House will likely vote on a health care bill within the next few weeks, so Murphy is organizing these events so that he can hear from people in Connecticut about what they think should be done to make health care more affordable and accessible for residents of Connecticut. Murphy will address questions and concerns from both proponents and opponents of health care reform.
